About Me
I’ve loved being active for as long as I remember. As a child I was always outside, cycling, playing tennis, running around with friends, never sitting still for long. That love never really left me. Eighteen years ago, when my son was born being active became something even bigger: it was how we connected. Playing outside together gave us some of our best memories, and it kept me moving through every stage of motherhood.
For years I worked in the NHS as a healthcare assistant on a critical cardiac unit. I’ve always been a people person – caring, honest, non-judgemental, and that job taught me what it really means to show up for someone on their hardest days. It’s the same energy I bring to coaching now.
In my early thirties, everything got harder. I was diagnosed with a hormonal condition (PMOS) that made building muscle, losing fat, and getting the definition I wanted feel almost imposible – no matter how hard I trained. I was tired most days, running on empty, and it was affecting who I was as a mum, a wife, and a person to be around. So I did what I always do: I got curious. I wanted to understand what was actually going on in my body, not just push harder at the same things that weren’t working. That search led me to qualify as a personal trainer in April 2024, and to go deeper still with a nutritional course in 2025- because I kept noticing that some of my clients got incredible results while others not as much. The missing piece again and again, was INSULIN. The discovery changed everything – for my own body, and for how I coach.
Today, my focus is helping busy professionals understand the role insulin plays in weight loss, energy, and body composition – because once you get this right, everything else gets easier.
My areas of expertise include:
Injury prevention and training safely, weight loss and body composition, strength and weight training, PMOS and metabolic health, menopause and perimenopause training.
Outside of coaching, I live with my husband, our son and much loved cat called Luna and family is important to me. When I’m not training clients, you’ll find me reading, walking or running, or out in the garden growing my own vegetables – something about growing your own food and watching it come together feels a lot like coaching, honestly.
Is this right for you?
I know investing in a coach can feel like a risk – maybe you spent money before on programmes that didn’t deliver, and you don’t want to make that mistake again. I build AP Fitness so you don’t have to gamble on your health:
A proven approach, not guesswork – build on real physiology, not trends
A safe, judgment-free space – whatever stage you’re starting from.
Support that saves you the years of trial and error I went through myself.
You deserve to feel strong, energised, and comfortable in your own body again – and you deserve to actually enjoy the process of getting there. Training with me is about buiding trust, having fun along the way, getting results, and coming out the other side happier and more like yourself than you’ve felt in years.
